Because this site has no bearing on my professional career, I prefer to remain  anonymous for now.

I hold both an MD and a PhD and split my time between research in neuropharmacology and the practice of emergency medicine. In both capacities, I spend a lot of time thinking about information, what it is and how it is used.

I am based in New York City, but I spend a significant amount of time in west Texas and Shanghai, so I see the world from three very distinct vantage points.
